Privacy Policy
Last updated: 20 August 2026
1. Who we are
Vanilla Polygon Studios ("we," "us," "our") is an independent software studio. This policy covers our website at vanillapolygons.com, and the apps and games we publish under the Vanilla Polygon Studios name.
We are the data controller for the information described here. For any privacy question, email support@vanillapolygon.com.
We use two domains. The website is vanillapolygons.com, with an "s". Our mail is vanillapolygon.com, without it. We own both. The address above is correct.
2. Our approach
We collect as little as we can. Where an app works without sending anything to us, we build it that way. Section 4 names every app we publish and states exactly what leaves your device.
We do not sell your information. We do not use it for advertising, and we run no advertising in our apps.
3. The website
Contact form
When you send us a message, we receive your name, your email address, and the message itself. Our form provider, Formspree, processes and delivers it. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests, so that we can answer you.
Server logs
Our host records standard request data. This includes your IP address, your browser, and the time of the request. We use it for security and reliability only. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests.
Error reports
If a script on this website fails, Sentry receives an error report. The report names the fault, the page, and your browser version. We turn off Sentry’s session replay, so the report does not record your screen. We also turn off IP address storage. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests, so that we can find and fix faults.
Cookies and fonts
This website sets no tracking cookies and runs no analytics. It loads typefaces from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address in order to serve them. Refer to Google's privacy policy for what Google does with that.
4. Our apps
Each app gets its own entry below. We add an entry when we release a new app, and we change the "Last updated" date when we do.
Interval timer — in development for Android and iOS
- No account, no sign-in, and no advertising.
- Your timers and settings stay on your device. We never receive them.
- If the app stops working, it sends a crash report. A crash report describes the fault, your device model, and your operating system version. It does not contain your timers or anything you typed. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests, so that we can find and fix faults.
The declarations in the Google Play Data safety section and the Apple App Store privacy label match this page. If you find a difference, tell us and we will correct it.
5. How we use information
- To answer your messages.
- To operate and secure our website.
- To find and fix faults in our software.
- To meet our legal obligations.
We do not use your information to build a profile of you, and we make no automated decisions about you.
6. Who we share it with
We share information only with the providers that run our services for us, or when the law requires it. Each provider may use the information only to deliver its service to us.
- Formspree — delivers messages from the contact form.
- Hostinger — hosts this website.
- Google — serves the typefaces on this website, and distributes our Android apps through Google Play.
- Apple — distributes our iOS apps through the App Store.
- Sentry — receives crash reports from our apps, and error reports from this website.
7. Information that leaves the UK
Some of our providers operate outside the United Kingdom. Formspree and Sentry are two of them. Where information moves outside the UK, we use providers that offer recognised transfer safeguards in their data processing terms.
8. How long we keep it
- Contact form messages: for as long as we need them to answer you and to keep a record of the conversation.
- Crash and error reports: no longer than 90 days.
- Server logs: for the short period our host retains them for security.
You may ask us to delete your messages at any time. Email support@vanillapolygon.com.
9. Your rights
You have the right to ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, to delete it, to receive it in a portable form, to restrict how we use it, and to object to our use of it. Where we rely on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
To use any of these rights, email support@vanillapolygon.com or use the support page. We reply within one month. We do not charge for this.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We would prefer you tell us first, so that we can put it right.
10. Children
Our website and apps are not directed to children under 13, or the equivalent minimum age where you live. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, email support@vanillapolygon.com and we will remove it.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. Keeping data on your device, rather than on our servers, is the main one. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Changes to this policy
We update this policy when we release a new app, or when an existing app changes what it collects. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows the current version.
