1. Who we are

Vanilla Polygon Studios ("we," "us," "our") is an independent software studio. These terms cover our website at vanillapolygons.com, and the apps and games we publish under the Vanilla Polygon Studios name.

We use two domains. The website is vanillapolygons.com, with an "s". Our mail is vanillapolygon.com, without it. We own both. The address above is correct.

2. What these terms cover

These terms are the agreement between you and us. They apply when you use our website, and when you install or use one of our apps. If you do not accept them, please do not use our website or our apps.

These terms say what you may do with our software. The privacy policy says what happens to your information. Read both.

3. Your licence

We licence our apps to you. We do not sell them to you. You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use each app on devices you own or control.

We keep all other rights. That includes the code, the artwork, the text, and the studio name and logo. The store you install from may add its own licence terms, and those terms also apply.

4. Our apps

Each app gets its own entry below. We add an entry when we release a new app, and we change the "Last updated" date when we do.

Brixo — in development for Android, planned for desktop

• Brixo blocks the apps you choose. It asks you to earn access through a gate. You either type a passage of text, or breathe with a paced animation.
• Blocking is free and unlimited. There is no subscription.
• A one-time purchase unlocks extra features: passage packs, custom passages, and gate tuning. The included passages and the tradition picker stay free.
• No account, no sign-in, and no advertising.
• Your settings and your data stay on your device. We operate no servers for this app. The privacy policy explains what this means in practice.

5. Purchases and refunds

Google Play handles every purchase in our Android apps. The App Store will handle purchases in our iOS apps when they ship. We never take your payment details ourselves.

We charge one-time payments only. We do not sell subscriptions. A one-time purchase unlocks the feature and does not renew.

Refunds follow the policy of the store you bought from. Email support@vanillapolygon.com first, and we will help you with the request.

6. Acceptable use

• Do not misuse our apps or our website.
• Do not copy, sell, rent, or redistribute our apps, and do not attempt to work around the licence or the paid features.
• Do not reverse engineer our apps, except where the law gives you that right.
• Do not use our apps or our website for any unlawful purpose.
• Do not attack our website, and do not try to reach any part of it that is not public.

We may end your licence if you break these rules. You may end it at any time by deleting the app.

7. No accounts and no cloud

We run no user accounts and no cloud services for our apps. Nothing you set up in an app is stored with us, so we cannot restore it for you.

You are responsible for your own device backups. If you lose your device, or you delete an app, your settings go with it.

8. Health and wellbeing note

The breath gate in Brixo is a calming exercise. It is not medical advice, and it is not a treatment for any condition.

Stop if a breathing exercise makes you dizzy or uncomfortable, and use the text gate instead. Speak to a doctor if you have a health condition that breathing exercises may affect.

9. Liability

We provide our apps and our website "as is". We do not promise that they are free of faults, or that they block every app in every case, or that they are available without interruption.

To the fullest extent the law of England and Wales permits, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. This includes lost profit, lost data, and lost time.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that the law does not allow us to limit. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights stay intact.

10. Changes to the apps

We may update, change, or discontinue features. We may also stop publishing an app. Blocking stays free in Brixo. We will not put the blocking feature behind a payment.

11. Changes to these terms

We update this page when our terms change. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows the current version. If you keep using our apps or our website after a change, you accept the new terms.

12. Governing law

The law of England and Wales governs these terms. The courts of England and Wales settle any dispute. If you are a consumer in another country, this does not remove the rights your local law gives you.
